Leadership students visit the embassy

Students of School for Ethics and Global Leadership (SEGL) have expressed interest in understanding and learning from Rwanda’s leadership style.

School for Ethics and Global Leadership is a selective, semester-long residential program for motivated high school juniors from across the United States. SEGL student visited Embassy of Rwanda in Washington on Friday February 25.

The discussions expounded on how the leadership has guarded political and economic stability of the country since the 1994 genocide against Tutsi.

They touched on different topics including history of Rwanda, its economy, homegrown solutions, women empowerment, media, sustainable COVID19 management strategies, regional integration, among others.

According to the school, “It’s a selection of students who have shown outstanding character, promise for leadership, and scholastic ability”.
