On Tuesday, January 24, 2023, the Director of the State Partnership Program at the Nebraska National Guard, Major Joshua Hull, met with Defense Attaché Lt. Col Raoul Bazatoha to discuss ongoing military cooperation between Rwanda and the United States.

The visit followed an earlier trip made by Ambassador Mathilde Mukantabana and Lt. Col Bazatoha to the Nebraska National Guard base in February 2022, where they were welcomed by Major General Daryl Bohac, Adjutant General of the Nebraska National Army.

During their tour, the delegation held productive conversations with various departments at the base, including the Women’s Advisory Group, the Nebraska Emergency Management Agency, and the Global Center for Health Security.

The state of Nebraska and Rwanda have a strong partnership in several sectors, including agriculture, security, and health.
